Now we know why we've got so many rocks on our trails

...for all the trail workers to hide under ;-)

They came crawling out from everywhere yesterday afternoon, moving rocks on the way, to help on the Mt. Stuart downhill track. There must have been about 20 guys, gals and youngens chipping away on the track; even some XC guys were on deck albeit little out of their depth. Volunteers sculpted berms, cleared debris from the riding line, brush cut grass, and opened up areas where the tread had worn and filled with silt. And now the section from Jack's Drop thru to the Snake Pit is all tidied up - a little bit of fill may get trucked in shortly - but it's certainly looking like a real treat to ride.

It's great to see so many people turning out in force to prepare their track for the upcoming race series. Great knowing so many riders hold enough such pride in their track to swing a pick in summer heat. Well done to the DH crew for getting a great job done.
