They Descended enmass to give Beefwood a healing touch

Amidst the steam of a tropical Townsville morning, a swarm of working bee-er appeared on the hills of Douglas to heed calls to tend to a well worn Beefwood. Some helpers were new, some were old hands but all 26 of your fellow riders sought the same thing - to give something back to a much ridden and much loved sweet stretch of easy trail.
The crewworked along Beefwood deberming numerous sections and putting the out slope back on the trail tread. In doing so they improvedthe trail's water shedding qualities. Also we just couldn't leave several sections of back slope cave ins that narrowed the riding line over time. The large crew made light work of those sections, restoring the original width of riding corridor and leaving a super smooth tread in its wake. And as if that wasn't enough, a small group of guys manned the brush cutters to give sections of Beefwood and Easy Street a much needed hair cut.
