JOB WELL DONE!:

Great effort from the 30 or so riders who crawled out of bed and braved the intense humidity for our working bee this morning. With numbers swelling to record levels - possibly the biggest turn out at a trail working bee ever - we had enough volunteers to give the lower part of Hammerhead some love, de-berming and repairing problem areas. The main group stormed down Rock 'n' Roll, armouring some trouble-spots with grass pavers and rock, as well as clearing numerous drains that were clogged with silt and debris after the recent heavy and sudden downpours of rain. Not sure if we were all soaked from sweat, or perhaps drool, as we salivated over some of the sweet bits the crew fixed up, very eager to ride them ASAP.
Thanks to all volunteers and group leaders for a fantastic job on our trails. Hopefully you all collected a Mocha Mecca voucher from the drinks counter after the working bee. If you didn't, send an email to greg@rockwheelers.com.au and we'll gladly fix you up.
Be sure to pop in and see Craig and staff at Mocha Mecca Riverside who are now opening 7am, 7 days a week.
