Rockwheelers Trail Building Committee
Rockwheelers Trail Building Committee (TBC)

Rockwheelers builds and maintains mountain biking trails across four Townsville locations: Douglas, Mt. Stuart, Ross Dam and Paluma/Hidden Valley. A heck of a lot of effort goes into planning, designing and maintaining the sites to keep trails open for riding and keep riders mouths open for smiles. And the TBC loves rolling up its sleeves to lead the charge but we need more help to stay on top of an ever-growing trail network.
Members of the TBC hail from different walks of life and bring varied experiences to the group. Some have really mastered the art of building sustainable trails from years spent toiling over the sweet singletracks we all enjoy riding in Townsville today. Some have received more formal training such via IMBA Trail Building Schools. Some are just merely happy swing a pick, plough a rake hoe or even blast a brushcutter whenever the need arises. How ever extensive or limited their skills may be, the TBC crews are passionate about creating and maintaining a network of sweet trails for their riding buddies (YOU!) to enjoy.
If you'd like to have a say in decisions over what trails get built, what trails need repairs and anything and everything trails, contact the TBC on your next ride (yeah, we're riders too. Just start by asking everyone you meet if they're in the TBC) or email Lee Williams. Contact Lee also if you're just simply keen to help out at a future working bee or have some ideas of work required on the trails your ride.
If you'd like to chip in with help on one of the many trail initiatives, watch the website, forum and your email inbox for notices of working bees and requests for help.
