End of Year Bluewater Social Ride: Sunday 11th Dec 730am

End of year Social ride with Rockwheelers this Sunday. All skill levels welcome. Possible swim at a secret waterhole. 

 
NOTE: the wet season has started so please check back here on our website, Saturday evening, is case we need to cancel due to wet weather.

Ride location:    Bluewater (30km north of Townsville)
Date:                 Sun 11 Dec 2011
Start time:         0730 at Bluewater Hut (ride start changed to 730am to give people more time)

Start point:        The Hut

Sign ins:           At the Hut. Please arrive well before start time to sign in. When you finish your ride please sign out.  

Start Options:           

Drive along Forestry Road, Bluewater and onward up to the Hut; or

Park down on Forestry Road, where the bitumen ends and road turns to dirt, then ride up. Allow 45-90 mins to ride up depending on your fitness. The section of dirt road up to the hut is about 14km, of which 7km is climbing (Avg 7% gradient).

  • MTBA Insurance - $5 Day Insurance pass available to buy if not already insured - please bring correct change or you'll be making an extra donation to Rockwheelers
  • Spare tubes
  • Repair kit
  • Pump
  • Water - 2 litres minimum
  • Snacks
  • Sense of humour
  • More snacks
