Ross Dam access to resume from Sat 29th Oct 5am

DSC_0140_

We received confirmation today that Rockwheelers access to the MTB trails at Ross Dam will resume from this coming Saturday 29th October, 5am.

That means we unfortunately won't be able to stage our routine night ride out at the Dam on Thursday night (27th Oct). But for those Rockwheelers members who've completed the induction you're able to ride the trails from bright and early on Saturday morning.

Please take special note, one of the conditions of our club's access at the Dam is that riders

-Report immediately any unauthorised or unusual behaviour to the Townsville Water Ranger. Mobile 0409 629 298.

Add the Ranger's number to your phones now. If you suspect an unauthorised act while riding at the Dam there is no requirement for you to confront the parties involved. Simply ride back out to within phone service and contact the Ranger.

Your cooperation to adhere to this and all the access conditions listed in the Lake Ross induction is greatly appreciated and serves to enhance our prospects of retaining Rockwheelers' current access arrangements well into the future.

In case you’re scratching your head asking "Access to Resume? When was it taken away?",
